Welcome to the Woodlands Tearoom & Santon Bridge Gift Shop
The Woodlands Tea Room nestles in a delightful setting in the Woodlands of Santon Bridge, Nr Wasdale. The surprise is two-fold - not only are you able to sample some of the tastiest home-made snacks, meals and cakes available anywhere in the District, you can then go next door for a leisurely browse around one of the oldest craft and gift shops in the Western Lake District.
Barbara Armstrong was shortlisted as one of 5 finalists in the UK for Retail Employee ofthe Year award. This prestigious award was held in May of this year at the GrosvenorHotel in London. You may have seen her in a recent Whitehaven News article. Although Barbara didn’t win, the fact that she was there was an accolade in itself and ajust reward for her 34 years of customer service in the gift shop.
